Ah, where to begin… A couple weeks ago with Shiv, we got the truck stuck in sugar sand. I discovered what a burning clutch smells like, and just how well sugar sand can grip truck tires. The friction was actually greater than the 4 cylinder engine could overcome: no dirt spun, we just sat there. And the clutch started smoking. So, we finally dug under the wheels and stuck some boards in that we “borrowed” from a nearby house going up. It was a bit touchy, but we got it out.
I’ve been put with a new party chief now, a guy who’s been doing it ~20 years now and just got hired after his previous employer got taken over by an idiot. Our company seems to want me to stick around with him and learn stuff from him, and so I’m abliging. He’s a great guy, so no problems.
Banality reigns in the New Homebuilding department fieldwork. I get my excitement in the investment thing, which I do better every day now. I had a big break today in which I made it back to a little over halfway to breaking even with how much money I put in originally. Maybe someday soon I’ll get back over the line into the black. That’d be nice.
Time to sack out. Later!
